I would like to say hello to the people who read this blog, however many there might be. So well Im just gonna start posting but first I would like to say a few things I will try to post at least three times a week about games and such, also I have contacted some of my podcasting buddies and I am asking them to help advertise. Ok now thats that out of the way I will start. Oh sorry one last thing, before I forget I will try to post some topics about saving money on gaming and such but I would like to leave that more to Allen and I will try to post up some big news on the systems.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok for real now I will enter something-
I will now like to talk about one of my favorite games for my Xbox 360 and that would be BioShock and what it will be doing in the future.
The two main things on BioShock at the moment are- The Movie, The Sequel/Prequel.
The Movie-
Ok so we all know movies based off of games mostly suck right? Right! But "they" (by they I mean some big studio. But know one knows for sure who "they" will be yet so I will stick with they.)
are going to try and make this one. If this movie is made it will be made sorta like 300 what I mean by this is there will be alot of use of the green screen.
As of right know there is not much information "we" don't even know if this is gonna happen its all rumor tracked somehow to reliable sources. Me, I hope a movie will be made of this game, I just hope its made with respect to the story in the game I mean it could be done, Would you kindly tell me what do you think?
The Sequel/Prequel-
Now before I start I would like to say one thing, I wish game companies would make a great game and then make a whole new game but greater, but no they must build up a series and make first great one horrable thanks to the other, but thats in a perfect world and we are not in said world.
Okay so a Sequel/Prequel, this is a quote form gamespot that I found on the vgboxart.com forums.
Last week, newly installed president of EA Sports Peter Moore told GameSpot that August sales of one title would prove third-party publishers aren't being squeezed out by console-maker-made exclusives. Ironically, the game in question wasn't an EA title. Instead, it was BioShock, a PC and Xbox 360 action adventure game made by bitter EA rival Take-Two Interactive.
It turns out these comments by the former Xbox 360 and Games for Windows marketing chief were prescient. Today during a post-earnings report conference call with analysts, Take-Two Interactive Chairman Strauss Zelnick said BioShock was already a runaway success for the controversial publisher, which has been set back by the Grand Theft Auto IV and Manhunt 2 delays.
"I'm particularly pleased with the tremendous market response to 2K's BioShock," said Zelnick. "It is reported we are the top-selling title at GameStop, less than a month since launch. We have already shipped more than 1.5 million units. Clearly we have a new hit franchise on our hands. And this one was developed internally, and we own the IP. We're proving our ability to diversify Take-Two's product portfolio."
While he did not reveal actual sales numbers for the game, Zelnick also made much of the fact that BioShock has the best aggregate review score on GameSpot sister site Metacritic. He also said the company is considering sequel-izing the action adventure along the same lines as Grand Theft Auto.
While opining on the GTA development cycle, Zelnick said, "I would say probably roughly an every-three-year [release] schedule would be optimal... I expect we would apply roughly the same strategy to BioShock, because BioShock is shaping up to be a very important franchise. I don't want to say more than that about BioShock because I certainly don't want to jinx it, but I feel awfully good about where that is going." -Gamespot
Now maybe I am kinda happy this will/might happen but I dont know that not mess this up...please?
Let me know what you think.
